Marla's Little Treasures is a business run by Marla and Randy Little. Marla has been collecting
antique and vintage treasures her whole life. About 20 years ago, she opened a small booth
in a local flea market to share her finds with others looking for treasures. Throughout
those years, Marla has been a vendor in 3 major antique venues. She now operates a spot
at The Vintage Peddler, 1432 E. Trafficway, Springfield, MO. During this time, Marla has
been a vendor in antique and vintage weekend shows; has conducted Estate Sales; and has
advised clients on values of estate items and how to liquidate them.
Randy added another dimension to Little Treasures by refurbishing and making football helmet
lamps out of retired football helmets. He started a non profit organization, Ozarks Football
League, Inc, in 2003 which is a non profit organization that runs a competitive spring football league
for 5th-8th grade students who love the sport and want to learn football. Since safety
is a number one priority for OFL, football helmets have a timeline and must be retired within
the USA football guidelines. Rather than send retired helmets to a landfill, he came up
with the idea of making football helmet lamps representing NFL and college teams. Marla
added these lamps to her inventory.
